Public Speaking and Academic Presentation (BAE208)
Instruction for students:
You need to choose one of the following topics. Then decide whether you agree or disagree or both in certain areas. You will then record a video of yourself giving a brief speech about the issue you have chosen and should explain the reasons. You need to show you understand well of the issue by presenting facts that you learned and/or the data you quoted. You have 2 minutes max to present your speech. So you need to organize your speech well to present your statements.
Make a forum post, upload your video to YouTube and post the link. DON'T UPLOAD THE VIDEO DIRECTLY TO E-LEARNING UNAIR
Your video must follow this naming format:

Choose one of the topics below to present as your speech:
a. The government should punish people who hoard medical supplies unreasonably during the Coronavirus pandemic
b. Citizens should have the right to know who has been infected by Coronavirus, including the personal information of the patients.
c. We should replace workers with cheaper, more effective robots and Artificial Intelligence.
d. We should automate education.
e. We should stop focusing on fossil fuels and start focusing on renewable energy.
f. We should bow down to the danger of smoking for the purpose of boasting income tax from the cigarettes’ companies.
g. Sex education should not be taught in schools.
h. Issues related to cybercrime and cyber bullying should be introduced to young people.
i. Netiquette should be (un)written law among net users.
j. Road safety should be part of school curricula.
k. Learning how to queue should start in kindergarten.
l. People are losing their face-to-face social competence due to gadget addiction.
m. Understanding Kartini’s heroic values means introducing feminism to men and women.
n. Higher education should pay more attention to leadership and entrepreneurship of today’s young people.
o. High school students should have a choice between going to college and working.
p. Low public appreciation toward athletes makes Indonesia’s achievements in sports at the bottom rank.
q. Students should be able to choose their study and career path from junior high school.
r. The majority of infrastructure funds should be invested outside of Java Island.
s. Minority religions outside of the big six religions should have an equal recognition by the Indonesian government.
